ProInstincts takes its name from professional instincts. For us, that means judgment developed through the work: recognizing a recurring need, asking better questions, and following through long enough to understand whether a product helps.
That idea shapes the software businesses we build and the way we intend to own and operate them.
Start with the work people need to do
A useful product starts with a real need. What is someone trying to understand, create, decide, or deliver? Where does their current process lose context or demand unnecessary effort?
Those questions come before choosing a technology. They also continue after a product ships. Operating a software business means learning from the people who use it and making room for their experience to change our assumptions.
Keep judgment connected to evidence
Instinct can suggest where to look. It still needs to be tested against the work.
In Phasoric, the focus is connected intelligence: keeping notes, research, decisions, and their context available to people and AI systems. In ClassLattice, the focus is teaching and learning: connecting planning, instruction, assessment, and evidence while keeping educators in control.
The domains differ. Both reflect a belief that useful technology should help people understand the information behind a decision and retain meaningful control over what happens next.
Build, then stay to operate
Our operating model has four parts:
- Build around practical, recurring needs.
- Operate close to the product, its systems, and its users.
- Acquire selectively where complementary software or technology could become stronger through our involvement.
- Compound the engineering practices, infrastructure, and operating knowledge that can help the wider portfolio.
Acquisitions are part of our long-term direction. The emphasis is on fit and the work we can contribute to a business.
